About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in our care homes.

Your primary focus will be to work collaboratively with our team to maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents. This will involve carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with our standard operating procedures, ensuring that all areas are well-presented and maintained in good condition.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
  • Operating according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.
  • Carrying out laundry duties in a public setting, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to our residents. If you have a strong commitment to customer care and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Experience of cleaning and laundry in a public setting.
  • Compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to residents.
  • The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
