Job Summary
The Procurement Service Desk at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized Helpdesk Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our stakeholders, responding to procurement queries, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to customers through various communication channels, including email, phone, and in-person.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all users.
- Manage and resolve procurement queries, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure prompt resolution.
- Utilize various computerized systems, including Oracle, Sage, and Integra Finance Systems, to support the requisitioning of goods and services.
- Develop and maintain a flexible approach to working times, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.

Person Specification
- Good general education, including GCSE English and Maths A-C/9-4.
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training for the position.
- Relevant experience of working in a patient, public, or customer services-focused role.
- Experience in effectively communicating via email, telephone, and letter.
- Experience of Microsoft Office Software.
