Critical Care Nurse Leader Position

The Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join their Critical Care Unit. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work with a dynamic and experienced team in providing high-quality patient care.
As a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient-centered care, reflecting the University Health Board's values and behaviours. You will provide clinical guidance, supervision, and management of the department, as well as develop staff and contribute to policy implementation.
This position requires an enthusiastic and caring individual with proven critical care knowledge and skills. You will join a well-established team of experienced critical care nurses, working together to provide exceptional services for critically ill adult patients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the smooth running of the service
- Be a visible and effective clinical leader
- Be self-motivated and innovative
- Ensure high standards of patient-centered care are maintained while utilizing resources effectively
You will practice at an advanced level, demonstrating autonomy and clinical decision-making skills. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and organizational abilities are required, along with stamina and flexibility to meet the demands of the role.
About the Role:
This Senior Sister/Charge Nurse position comes with a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in critical care, successful completion of CC3N Step Competencies Level 4 or equivalent, and possession of a recognized critical care course at an advanced level.
