Sociology Teacher Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sociology teacher to join our school community in Bexley. As a key member of our staff team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students aged 11-16.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • To teach Sociology to KS3 and KS4 students, using innovative and engaging methods to promote learning and understanding.
  • To develop and implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum content, ensuring consistency and cohesion across year groups.

Requirements

  • A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE).
  • Experience of teaching Sociology at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Licence to work within the UK.
