GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Transport Shift Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the transportation department, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition and meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team of transportation staff, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation management, with a strong understanding of transportation legislation and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- Holder of a Manager's CPC qualification.
