We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Front Office Team Member at Novotel Edinburgh Centre.

Your Role: As a Front Office Team Member, you will be the face of Novotel Edinburgh Centre, extending a warm welcome to our guests while putting their well-being at the heart of everything you do. Your role will involve ensuring a wonderful guest experience, providing quality service to customers, and promoting hotel facilities to maximise sales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and professionally to requests during check-in, check-out, and throughout a guest's stay.
  • Earn a competitive hourly salary of £12.20/hour, which reflects your hard work and dedication to delivering outstanding results.
  • Ensure all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis, maintaining high standards of attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Handle calls promptly and professionally, communicating effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Document accurately all internal and guest messages, maintaining confidentiality and upholding company policies.
  • Promote hotel facilities and services, using sound product knowledge and selling skills to increase revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Attend to other duties as requested by Management and Supervisors, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing situations.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and characteristics:



  • Prior experience working with FOLS or OPERA systems, demonstrating technical skills and proficiency in hotel management software.
  • Fluency in English, enabling effective communication with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution.
