Job Summary:

AWE is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Applied Warhead Engineering Team. The successful candidate will apply their expertise in mechanical engineering design and CAD to support the development of in-service and future warheads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical engineering solutions for warhead systems, including conceptual designs, detail designs, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers to scope, plan, and estimate future activities.
  • Maintain design history and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Apply practical engineering methods, tools, and processes to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Work with PLM and CAD systems, including Siemens Teamcenter and NX.

Requirements:

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent vocational qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Considerable practical experience in mechanical engineering design and specifications.
  • Experience using PLM and CAD systems, including Siemens Teamcenter and NX.
