About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Senior Underwriter to join our Surety EMEA Team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analysing new business opportunities, assessing credit and transactional risks, and developing account strategies to expand our market footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse new business opportunities and assess credit and transactional risks using Swiss Re's processes and guidelines
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, originate and process business opportunities, and provide high-quality service to clients
  • Prepare and present submissions to committees and fellow decision makers with confidence and passion
Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant working experience, preferably in surety or banking
  • Experience in dealing with multinational corporations and providing surety & guarantee solutions to large and mid-sized corporate customers
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets, including debt financing, capital market instruments, and industry knowledge
  • Ability to navigate through legal documents, understand financial statements, and assess underlying corporate credit risk
  • Curiosity, agility, and ability to develop and present tailored solutions
  • Knowledge of a foreign language is a plus
