About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electronic Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of our next-generation products.

Our client is a leading British OEM with a strong reputation for innovation and quality. We are committed to delivering exceptional products that meet the needs of our customers, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of electronic products, including embedded systems, power electronics, and digital design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in areas such as microprocessor design, analogue and digital design, and power supply design.
  • Diagnose and mitigate EMC/EMI problems, and ensure that designs meet regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
Requirements
  • Significant knowledge and experience in electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of leading design work in a similar manufacturing business.
  • Commercial experience, including negotiation techniques, supply chain management, and customer relationship development.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to take technical lead and mentor engineers, relevant to area of expertise.
