About the Company:

DCT Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specialising in construction and commercial roles. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team on a permanent basis.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of assistant quantity surveyors. They will also oversee the internal procurement process of subcontractors and deliver projects within set budgets by collaborating with the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of assistant quantity surveyors.
  • Oversee the internal procurement process of subcontractors.
  • Deliver projects within set budgets by collaborating with the Commercial Director.
  • Produce valuation claims and issue them to employers' agents and clients.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and consultants.
  • Attend site progress meetings.
  • Prepare and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engage with the supply chain.
  • Notify successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in writing.
  • Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract accounts.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent client interfacing skills and experience.
  • Management and development of junior commercial staff.
  • A Quantity Surveying Degree or industry standard (RICS).
  • A record of success and experience in similar roles.
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Salary Estimate: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
