About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Group Support Volunteer. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting people affected by dementia to engage in activities and socialise with others in a group setting.

As a Group Support Volunteer, you will be a friendly face at the group, welcoming and talking to people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortable and ensure they are offered refreshments. You will also assist with setting up and tidying away at the end of the group.

By volunteering for this role, you will enable people affected by dementia to meet others in a similar situation, access the support and information they need, and enjoy meaningful activities.

Our day centre at Hammersmith and Fulham Day Centre provides a welcoming environment for our service users, and we are looking for a Volunteer to play the piano for 1 hour twice weekly to enhance their experience.
