We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Procurement Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen in Pharmacy Procurement and Support Services, where you will play a vital role in ensuring access to safe, cost-effective patient-centred care. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining efficient supply chains and managing stock levels across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sourcing, procurement, and stock management of medicines, ensuring supply is efficiently maintained at UHBW.
  • Actively manage the 'Off Contract' claims activity in accordance with department procedures and guidelines and ensure all documentation and systems are kept up to date, filed and efficiently maintained.
  • Co-ordinate Pharmacy Support Services alongside existing co-ordinator.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, manage stock levels and implement support systems to avoid shortages, waste or inefficiencies.
  • Work alongside healthcare and administrative teams, offering expertise and guidance on medication usage, availability and inventory control.
  • Assist with all aspects of human resource management including recruitment, interviews, sickness, attendance, training and development of staff, in line with Trust policies and procedures.
What You Will Need

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent time management skills, an ability to communicate complex information effectively and appropriately with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you should have experience in staff management and training.
