Our goal is to address the social problems caused by crime, including poverty, poor education, mental health issues, unemployment and homelessness.
This role is part of our efforts to support prisoners' rehabilitation through peer-led learning programmes.
Salary
The annual salary for this position is approximately £38,000, based on industry standards for similar roles.
Job Description
This position will lead the development and implementation of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme.
You will work closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors to deliver the programme and achieve its goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the reading and numeracy programme
- Work with the prison and their staff to deliver the programme
- Maintain relationships with programme participants and stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate programme progress
