Job Title: Adjunct Faculty Position in International and Global Studies

Job Summary: We are seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach International and Global Studies courses at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The successful candidate will have expertise in a relevant discipline in the humanities and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach introductory courses, thematic and area topic seminars, and global methods classes to educate well-rounded, globally aware students with exceptional analytical skills and sensitivity to culture and context.
  • Complement our off-campus project centers by teaching courses that focus on area expertise in Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, Southern and Western African, East Asia, South Asia, Oceania, Europe, or the US and the World.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to teaching International and Global Studies, incorporating critical, interdisciplinary, and global perspectives.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline in the humanities.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students, with a strong commitment to student success.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
