About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Council Tax Officer to join our team at Rochdale Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for the billing, collection, and recovery of Council Tax.

The role involves working with customers, processing and managing Council Tax accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
  • Process and manage Council Tax accounts, including billing and collection
  • Ensure compliance with Council Tax legislation and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Council Tax policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Revenues environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and Revenues processing systems
