p>Our client is seeking a skilled Commissioning/Automations Engineer in Worcester. This role involves working on automation, Electro/Mechanical and data acquisition systems for turnkey projects within the automotive test industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automation and mechanical systems, as well as experience with programming languages such as C# or Visual Basic.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performing on-site system electrical installations and fault-finding on bespoke, one-off systems
  2. Calibrating and setting up electronic data acquisition, electrical and mechanical systems
  3. Configuring the CADET V14 software to suit provided channels and interface components
  4. Developing automation sequences using standard CADET editor tools
  5. Collaborating with 3rd-party hardware such as inverter drives, fuel systems, safety systems, and analysers for integration into test cells and facilities
  6. Conducting test runs, gathering results, and providing initial customer training in operation of the supplied system
  7. Fault diagnostics using logged data from customer sites

Requirements

A strong understanding of automation, mechanical systems, and programming languages such as C# or Visual Basic. Excellent time management skills, fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office tools is essential. A full UK driving licence and ability to achieve adequate and appropriate business insurance are also required.

Overtime is available when working on client sites, above 39 hours per week (hours classed as door-to-door) or when overseas. Flexi-time is available when office-based. Core hours are 10am-4pm Monday-Thursday, 10am-2:30pm Friday. Site hours are discussed with customers and project managers on a per-project basis.

Site/overnight/travel expenses are paid in line with company policy. A cycle-to-work scheme is also available. Career progression into senior commissioning or automation roles is possible.
