Job Description
The role of Principal Transport Planner involves taking on strategic challenges, such as developing the Local Transport Plan, Active Travel strategy, and infrastructure plans. As a key member of the Transport Planning team, you will be responsible for building transport networks that prioritize public transport, walking, cycling, and wheeling, while also supporting housing and economic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation strategies that meet the needs of the community
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify transportation priorities and develop solutions
- Contribute to the development of the Local Transport Plan and other relevant policies
- Maintain accurate records and reports on transportation-related data
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Transportation Planning or a related field
- Proven experience in transportation planning or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
