We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Child Psychotherapist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological services to children in care, working closely with our Harbour Service team in the East of Dorset.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessments of need for young people who require a trauma and neurodevelopmental informed approach.
- Work directly with young people and parents/carers to promote stability and connection within the family system.
- Provide consultations to Social Workers and other key professionals to facilitate psychologically informed care planning.
- Bring a trauma, neurodevelopmental and attachment informed approach to your work, with experience in adult mental health and systemic approaches.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:
- Post-graduate doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent) and eligible for Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society.
- Clinical experience with children in care, children and adolescent's mental health and working with their carers.
- Experience of clinical supervision and consultation with teams and networks around the family.
