Global Safety and Health Lead

Job Summary

The Global Safety and Health Lead will support the Senior Global SHE Director in developing and deploying a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) strategy for Alkegen. This role will partner with Business Unit Operations Leaders and Plant Managers to deploy their responsibilities in relation to the strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish strong leadership credibility, confidence, and rapport across all levels of the Global Business Unit.
  • Be the subject matter expert for all SHE matters and lead the SHE agenda within the Business Unit.
  • Develop robust risk-based Corrective Action Plans.
  • Conduct Global Audit Analysis.
  • Profile the Business to identify and manage common areas of risk within the Business Unit.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the SHE organization and performance in the Business Unit.
  • Support the Senior Global SHE Director and Business Unit Operational Leads in developing SHE strategy for the Business Unit.
  • Work closely with Operational Leads at each facility to evaluate cultural improvements and develop bespoke delivery plans.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Adaptive Coaching Skills, such as listening and responding.
  • Demonstrate experience of working with formal Management of Change systems (MOC) to reduce safety and operational risks.
  • Demonstrate experience in Process Safety Management techniques, such as HAZOP.
  • Demonstrate experience in application of behavioural safety management systems to drive an interdependent culture within a workforce.
  • Excellent people, communication, team building, and organizational skills.
