We are seeking a talented physicist to join our Nuclear and Thermal Analysis team in our Energy business. As a consultancy business, our team supports various projects, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of assignments, including reactor physics, shielding, criticality, fuel cycle management, thermal analysis, fault studies, transient analysis, coding, boiler analysis, safety case production, and more.

No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training, mentoring, and relevant courses for career development. Our team's work is diverse, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Nuclear master's or PhDs preferred or degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • Experience in an engineering consultancy environment or nuclear sector
  • Knowledge of reactor technologies and experience in undertaking physics assessments for civil nuclear power technologies
  • Experience in bid writing or assessment and associated commercial awareness
  • Familiarity with nuclear safety assessments and safety case construction
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a range of benefits including free single medical cover and digital GP service, family-friendly benefits such as enhanced parental leave pay, reimbursement towards relevant professional development and memberships, and more.
