Job Title: Engineering Management System Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Management System Controller to join our team at Getlink. As a key member of our Railway Control Centre, you will be responsible for remotely monitoring and operating tunnel and terminal infrastructure equipment to ensure safe and efficient transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the status of fixed equipment using the EMS, ensuring electrical power, fire-fighting, drainage, cooling, ventilation, and communications systems are functioning correctly.
  • Configure fixed equipment in response to operational or system events, following specific instructions and procedures.
  • Take immediate action to protect, isolate, and limit the consequences of any incident or accident involving fixed equipment.
  • Act as the first point of contact for technicians, configuring fixed equipment for maintenance works.
  • Ensure Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR) are met for fixed equipment and take corrective action to prevent breaches.
  • Comply with all Eurotunnel safety and security documentation, regulations, and working documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of equipment failure, maintenance, events, and actions carried out.
  • Report technical faults or failures to technicians.
  • Assume the role of Fire Warden when required.

Requirements:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Railway and/or Control Centre environment is beneficial.
  • Fluent English and the ability to communicate in French to an intermediate level (B2 or above) is essential.
  • A valid Driving Licence and Passport are essential for travel between the UK and France.

What to Expect:

The recruitment process will include an initial French language competency test, a first-stage interview, Psychometric (Safety Competency) Testing, and a visit to one of our Railway Control Centres in the UK or France. Successful candidates will also need to pass the safety-critical medical standard required for this role.
