We are seeking a skilled Hot Fire Space Thruster Test Engineer to join our team at a very busy space thruster test facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of space thruster theory, particularly the ground test of thrusters for the design and manufacture of liquid propellant and high-pressure gas feed systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site preparation and maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient testing environment.
- Handle and manage fuel and oxidizer systems, ensuring compliance with MIL spec analysis and Military Standard Propellants.
- Design and implement pressure systems, instrumentation, and control systems for thruster testing.
- Collaborate with the research and development team to analyze and assess test data, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure site and system safety, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Proven knowledge of space thruster theory and operation.
- Experience with propellant MIL spec analysis and Military Standard Propellants.
- Strong mechanical fitter and practical engineering skills, preferably gained through an apprenticeship or related industry experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas clearly.
