About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment and facilities
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution environment
  • Utilize advanced tools and technologies to maximize equipment effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and practices
  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and the implementation of best practices across multiple sites
A Day in the Life

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will be based on-site, allowing you to respond quickly to any equipment issues. Your day will be filled with a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks, as well as responding to breakdowns and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.

You will work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, including painting and plumbing, and will liaise with contractors as needed. You will also work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock.

About the Team

Our RME team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.

We handle a wide range of tasks, from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site and repairing key distribution equipment. We are committed to reducing downtime in Amazon's critical operations sites, ensuring that customers receive their orders on time.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in condition-based monitoring, working with print and apply machines, and fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems are highly desirable.
