Humanities Teaching Assistant - Secondary Job Opportunity

EdEx is working with an excellent Secondary School in Lewisham, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, to find a Humanities Teaching Assistant - Secondary to join their supportive and close-knit team of Humanities teachers and teaching assistants.

This role involves providing support to students 1:1 and in small groups, particularly those students with SEND/SEMH needs such as ASD, ADHD, SpLD and more. You will be tasked with assisting class teachers and students with humanities-based subjects, helping out across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with humanities-based subjects across KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students of different ages and abilities
  • Assist class teachers with lesson planning and delivery
Requirements
  • A humanities graduate with strong academics across the board, including a 2:1 or 1st class degree
  • Previous school-based experience working with children of all abilities and ages
  • An extensive understanding of SEND/SEMH needs
Benefits
  • £105 - £110 per day
  • Monday - Friday only
  • Term-Time only
  • Long-Term, Full-Time role
