Engineering Project Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Graduate Engineering Estimator. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting customer needs and providing accurate project-specific solutions.
You will manage allocated projects and work closely with external sales and internal colleagues to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure commercial quotations and technical submissions are on time and meet the required standards.
- Identify and process special or QA product requirements and support the wider Operations Teams technical needs.
- Update and take ownership of project folders, ensuring all relevant information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Obtain all key information at the enquiry stage to offer the best suitable solution to the client.
- Ensure that all designs produced are compliant with current legislation and regulations.
- Support customers and colleagues in the timely resolution of technical enquiries, escalating queries that cannot be resolved.
- Provide excellent customer service to colleagues and customers alike, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide technical support to the external sales team, helping them to understand and meet customer needs.
Requirements:
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of engineering principles, contractual principles, and methods of working.
- Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- A positive personality with a desire to continually develop and progress, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and willing to learn business-specific software systems.
- A mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering qualification, such as an HNC/HND or equivalent, or a mathematical or science-based advanced qualification.
- Experience of interpreting information of a technical nature, ideally specifications and drawings.
