About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Health Engineer to join our team at AECOM. As a key member of our Public Health engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of public health systems on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of public health systems, including hot and cold water systems, above ground foul and rainwater systems, fire protection systems, and below ground drainage systems.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that public health systems meet the required standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in public health engineering and apply this knowledge to improve the design and implementation of public health systems.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer with CIBSE, IET, or IMechE (or working towards).
  • Previous public health engineering work experience within a design consultancy or other relevant business.
  • BEng for a relevant engineering course (MEng preferred).
  • CIBSE SoPHE Member.
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of statutory regulations to ensure design compliance, make submissions to the statutory authorities, and obtaining approvals as necessary.
  • Be able to work independently and have good time/task management skills.
  • Experience in mixed-use, residential, commercial, and healthcare buildings/sectors.
  • Fully competent in the use of AutoCad to produce 2D drawings.
  • Fully competence in using 3D Revit software and Navisworks reviewing software.
  • Ability to speak fluently and communicate effectively in written reports and oral presentations.
