Job Description: Construction Project Lead

About the Job:

Carbon60 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Lead to join our team in Yorkshire. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of engineering projects from planning to completion.

About You:

You will have a proven track record of managing complex construction projects, including experience with CDM regulations and Prince2 project management methodology. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, as well as proficiency in project management software such as MS Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning Health & Safety across the construction site.
  • Project Management including CDM requirements.
  • Developing and overseeing project plans, schedules, and resources.
  • Tracking project performance using project management software.
  • Working with architects, engineers, and clients to establish and deliver project goals and specifications.
  • Allocating resources efficiently to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Preparing and managing project budgets.
  • Monitoring spending and ensuring the project remains within budget.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
  • Developing contingency plans to address project delays or issues.
  • Troubleshooting on-site problems and providing effective solutions.
  • Ensuring all work meets the highest quality standards.
  • Conducting site inspections to verify project adherence to specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager (5 - 10 years minimum).
  • Demonstrable experience in the planning and management of complex engineering projects, including CDM regulations.
  • Project management experience in a manufacturing environment, Prince2 or equivalent.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g. MS Project).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a contract role for 6-9 months and could be inside or outside IR35.
