Job Overview

This role involves supporting the Lee Valley Regional Park Learning and Engagement team with various activities and events. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in working with young people from diverse backgrounds and be able to provide encouragement and support.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for helping prepare and set up equipment, resources, and facilitating small group work as part of larger sessions led by L&E staff.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to ensuring Health and Safety and safeguarding policies are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with learning and engagement activities for school/college/youth/special needs/community sessions, events, and activities.
  2. Support volunteers and participants during events.
  3. Help facilitate small group work and ensure effective communication between team members.
  4. Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment and resources.
Requirements
  • Able to ride a bike and travel independently within the 26-mile radius of Lee Valley Regional Park.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of wildlife, environment, or creativity is an advantage.
  • Able to lift and carry resource boxes, tables, and chairs.

Estimated salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
