Key Responsibilities

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join our team. This role will involve a mix of working from home and our Camberley office, with a flexible working policy in place.

Your Mission

As a Finance Administrator, you will work closely with a small team to process a high volume of transactions. Your focus will be on delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the role.


Validate invoice header data to check for correct PO number, VAT, Company Name, and all other data agree to the invoice image. Identify duplicates, organize corrections, and coordinate the provision of credit notes.


This involves validation in Alusta Basware and transferring data to SAP for payment.


Proactively and efficiently deal with high-volume supplier queries.


Manage the team mailbox and forward PDF invoices to the OCR system.


Assist with ad-hoc department projects as required.


Reconcile supplier statements.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with experience in the construction industry and a background in accounts. Strong administrative skills, with an emphasis on accuracy, are essential. You should have excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments and clients at all levels.


Knowledge of Alusta Basware and SAP processing systems is advantageous.


Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is desirable.


Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and checking of all payments.


Good Excel skills are required.


Studying for an accounting qualification is ideal.


Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, resolving queries promptly.


Proactive approach to problems, identifying potential errors and resolving them.


Inquisitive and possess a can-do attitude.


Ability to build good working relationships with external suppliers and internal customers.


Ability to work to strict deadlines and ensure deadlines are met.


Ability to make decisions about referring potential problems to the Manager.


First-class written and oral communication skills.
