As a Transport Planner at Stobart, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient deployment of our resource pool and adherence to legal obligations regarding WTD and EU Drivers Legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Escalation of Late Runners: Effectively communicate with customer services to resolve issues related to late deliveries.
  • Resource Allocation: Input trailer numbers, fleet numbers, and driver names in a timely manner to optimize resource utilization.
  • Time Management: Monitor time lapse and restricted parking reports to minimize unproductive time and excessive breaks.
  • Driver Management: Confirm driver start times for the next day and monitor WTD issues to ensure compliance.
  • Terminal Operations: Monitor terminal lifting and restitution times to optimize operations.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with the driving team and ensure clear handovers between shifts.
  • Utilization and Profitability: Achieve targets related to utilization, loaded, empty legs, and profitability.
  • Team Supervision: Implement communication from Team Supervisors regarding traffic flows, trailer type utilization, and TLC customers.
Requirements:
  • Working Knowledge: Truckcom, GTS applications, Microsoft packages (Excel, Outlook), and WTD and EU Drivers Hours.
  • Experience: Transport planning environment.
