About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Counsellor for Anxiety and Depression, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support individuals with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver face-to-face, remote video, and telephone sessions to clients presenting with depression and anxiety disorders.
  • Work autonomously within the service, managing your caseload and time effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in specialist psychological therapies.

Requirements

  • Recognized postgraduate level training in a psychological therapy, such as CBT, psychodynamic, or integrative therapy.
  • Professionally accredited or registered with a relevant professional body, such as the BACP or UKCP.
  • Experience in delivering specialist psychological therapies, including assessment, formulation, and treatment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse client groups.
  • Ability to manage your caseload and time, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and support to clients.
