Theatre Scrub Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth running of our operating departments.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists in preparing patients for surgery and maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies necessary for surgical procedures.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and theatre activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in theatre care.
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current registration and experience in scrub theatre.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
- Knowledge of theatre protocols and procedures, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in theatre care.
