Recycling Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Recycling Assistant to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Customer Field Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our wastewater treatment facilities and the delivery of exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Recycler Technician in operating a recycler in a safe and optimal way to respond to reactive blockage reports from the sewer network.
- Provide and deliver a high standard of customer interaction while dealing with all sewer-related incidents.
- Support with blockage response times, in cases of high work volumes and wet weather events.
- Work closely with other Yorkshire Water teams and contracted partners on site to resolve and manage operational issues on the sewer network.
- Collate data and information for evidence capturing and ensure Health and Safety working practices & procedures are always complied.
Requirements:
- A full valid EU driving licence (no more than 6 points).
- A strong Health & Safety background.
- Ability to find faults and diagnose the root cause of an issue.
- Competent in the use of IT systems.
- Knowledge and experience on working with Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to be proactive and take ownership of issues, think through problems and work with others to solve them.
- Be committed to ongoing personal development.
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with ops, customers, and stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills.

As a Recycling Assistant at Yorkshire Water, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 20% shift allowance for working a night work pattern, attractive pension scheme, annual bonus, life assurance cover, and 25 days annual leave plus additional days in lieu of working bank holidays.
Location:
This role is based in Lower Brighouse WWTW, covering the whole of Yorkshire, and requires a full valid driving licence (no more than 6 points) and the ability to travel to different operational sites across the region.
