Catering Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Oakwood Grange in Barnsley. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals to residents in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate.
- Health and safety procedures knowledge, including COSHH.
- Previous catering experience and knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
- Experience working with older people.
