Job Role: Day Shift Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Omega Leeds. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure maximum line efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a range of PLC controlled equipment.
  • Respond to breakdowns onsite and ensure rapid resolution of plant equipment and machinery issues.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on automation machinery, including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and robots.
  • Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
  • Ensure the efficient running of a continuous process, moving and packing high-quality products.
  • Continuously improve performance of equipment and systems to support site development.
  • Agree preventative electrical maintenance plans.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical or mechanical.
  • Ideal experience with automated materials handling and packaging machines.
  • Production line experience, with qualified engineers offered training and development.
  • A proactive approach to fault finding, commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
  • Computer literacy.
