Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced clinicians to provide specialist assessment and treatment to adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.

About the Team:
Our team provides comprehensive services to adults with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties. We work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and strive to maintain high standards of patient safety and quality of care.

Main Responsibilities:
The post holder will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing effective treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes. They will also be expected to contribute to service developments and participate in education and training activities. Supervision and training will be provided to ensure the successful applicant meets the requirements of the role.

Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, a recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification, and a licence to practice from the Health & Care Professions Council. Knowledge of national policies, procedures, and current research relevant to stroke, frailty, and adult neurology is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate strengths in building rapport with key stakeholders within the SLT team and wider multidisciplinary team.

Salary: £35,024 - £47,924 per annum, depending on experience.
