About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to join our team at Siemens Energy Limited. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading our sales efforts in the GB&I market, identifying and converting leads into orders, and building long-term relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategy plans for your regions and customers in collaboration with the Regional Entities for profitable growth, market share, and customer happiness.
  • Build account plans and sales strategies tailored to your customers' needs and growth ambitions.
  • Understand and follow electrical industry trends and competition.
  • Act as the main point of contact to customers, leading technical and commercial deals.
  • Establish new business, maintain, and penetrate existing business to drive further profitable growth and revenue.
  • Meet or exceed operational requirements: systematic CRM reporting, monthly operating reviews, and sales cost-effectiveness initiatives.
  • Support with new solution, product, and service launches and marketing campaigns within the region and customer base.
  • Generate appraisal of market approaches and offerings, including intelligence on capability, customer base, products, and promotions to devise successful sales strategies and tactics to achieve our business objectives.
  • Full ownership of, advisory, and support of Key Account Managers and their organisations' relationships, processes, and experience.
Requirements
  • Relevant sales experience in technical capital equipment, solutions, and service with a short to medium duration sales cycle, especially interested in candidates with experience with battery storage solutions and high-voltage products.
  • Extensive sales/engineering experience with electrical utilities/renewables essential.
  • Marketing and business development experience desirable.
  • Good understanding of the Electrical Transmission market particularly at 132, 275, and 400kV voltage classes.
  • Proficiency in sales planning, CRM utilisation (Salesforce, Excel, SAP), and forecasting.
  • Willingness to travel, mostly in and around Birmingham, South of Wales, and London areas.
  • Driven personality with a track record in sales performance growth, establishment of new accounts, and key account development.
  • Ability to build, grow, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Imaginative approach when generating strategic solutions for customers that add long-term value.
  • Support of proposal responses and contract deals.
  • Varied interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own time effectively to achieve targets, particularly in a multi-stakeholder environment.
