CNC Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Factory Operative to join our client in the Crewkerne area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading trade moulding company in the South West region.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare materials to the correct charge weight.
- Load materials into the hot mould tool in the specified manner.
- Start the machine cycle by pushing the appropriate buttons.
- Monitor the machine during operation to ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Perform any manual adjustments as needed during the cycle.
- Remove flash from the previous moulding using a knife and file.
- Trim excess material from the moulded parts.
- Inspect each moulded part for defects or irregularities.
- Ensure all products meet the required quality standards before packing.
- Report any issues or non-conformities to the Production Supervisor.
- Wear gloves, protective sleeves, and other required PPE at all times.
- Ensure the work area is clean and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of personal safety shoes.
- Operate a semi-automatic cutting bench to cut sheet moulding material.
- Ensure precision and accuracy in cutting to the specified dimensions.
- Work both day and night shifts as required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Ability to work with manual and semi-automatic machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must provide own safety shoes; other PPE will be provided by the company.
Please note that the factory operates on a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday. The day shift runs from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute paid breaks. The night shift starts at 6:00 pm and runs until 4:15 am, with a staggered start time of 9:30 pm for some shifts.
