About Our Charity
At Save the Children, we believe every child deserves a future. In over 110 countries, we have been supporting children to transform their lives for over 100 years. We help children survive, learn and be protected from harm.
We are looking for volunteers to support our shop team in Fulham, London. As a volunteer retail assistant, you will play an essential role in raising vital funds for our work with children.
About the Role
This is a voluntary, unpaid role based in the UK. We are unfortunately not able to provide support with visa requests. As a shop volunteer, you will be responsible for sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till and creating fantastic window displays. You will also help keep our shop floor looking organised.
The role is flexible, and you can commit as much or as little time as you like. Many of our volunteers support us for a couple of hours a week, while others do more. It's up to you
What We Offer
We offer a friendly and inclusive environment where you can make a real difference. You will receive full training and be part of a passionate team who are dedicated to making a positive impact on children's lives.
In return for your time, we ask that you are a team player, open to learning and to following our policies. You will also need to be an excellent representative for Save the Children.
Salary Information
This is a voluntary, unpaid role. However, if you were to work full-time in this role, based on the average salary for a retail assistant in the UK, it would be around £22,000 per year.
How to Get Involved
If you are interested in volunteering with us, please express your interest by clicking the 'apply' button below. We will then invite you for an informal trial shift, where you can meet some of our existing volunteers and get a feel for the role.
Please note that this role is based in the UK and requires a valid visa to work. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide support with visa requests.
