Accounting Position

Hewett Recruitment is hiring an Accounting Assistant Manager to manage the finance department's day-to-day activities.

  • Purchase Ledger: Verify purchase invoices, match delivery notes, and align with purchase orders.
  • Sales Ledger: Oversee Sales Ledger management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Credit Control: Monitor client/customer payments and ensure timely payment.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Regularly perform accurate bank reconciliations to maintain current financial records.
  • Payroll Admin: Assist with payroll preparation tasks as needed by the Managers.
  • Finance Queries: Handle internal and external finance queries via phone or other means.
  • Finance Inbox Management: Be responsible for the finance inbox to address all queries effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Sage software.
  • Previous experience in a finance role is required.
  • Bookkeeping experience is necessary.
  • Credit Control experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong MS Excel skills are required.

This role is a standalone position, on-site with support from external accountants and line managers.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience.
