Accounting Assistant Manager

Hewett Recruitment is hiring an Accounting Assistant Manager to manage the finance department's day-to-day activities.
- Purchase Ledger: Verify purchase invoices, match delivery notes, and align with purchase orders.
- Sales Ledger: Oversee Sales Ledger management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Credit Control: Monitor client/customer payments and ensure timely payment.
- Bank Reconciliations: Regularly perform accurate bank reconciliations to maintain current financial records.
- Payroll Admin: Assist with payroll preparation tasks as needed by the Managers.
- Finance Queries: Handle internal and external finance queries via phone or other means.
- Finance Inbox Management: Be responsible for the finance inbox to address all queries effectively and efficiently.
- Proficient in Sage software.
- Previous experience in a finance role is required.
- Bookkeeping experience is necessary.
- Credit Control experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong MS Excel skills are required.
This role is a standalone position, on-site with support from external accountants and line managers.
Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience.
