The hourly rate for this role is estimated to be between £18.36 and £23.42 per hour.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Careers Specialist, working closely with colleagues to deliver a high-volume caseload and support individuals into sustainable employment.

Responsibilities
  • To manage a large number of clients and deliver the job search process, capturing relevant evidence to support their employability.
  • To work closely with colleagues to identify recruitment needs and develop strategies to deliver services off-site, including jobs fairs, employer open days, outreach events, and special promotions.
  • To co-ordinate employment interviews and referrals for training, ensuring individuals have access to sustainable employment opportunities.
  • To stay up-to-date with government initiatives supporting disengaged, socially, and economically excluded clients, working with colleagues to develop effective support strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • GCSE education at A-C level in English and maths or equivalent qualifications.
  • A relevant professional qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience working in a recruitment or careers advisory environment, supporting individuals to achieve employment goals using client action plans.
  • Knowledge of the Welfare to Work benefits system.
  • Proficiency in ICT packages, including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to understand databases.
  • Organisational skills, achieving employment outcome targets, and understanding issues creating barriers to employment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, maintaining engagement and progress with clients.
Requirements
  • Able to start immediately or at short notice.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
