Job Description

Ramboll is seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Engineer to join our Energy Transition Department. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to safe and innovative design solutions in the forefront of the Green Energy transition.

The successful candidate will have a solid technical background in Process Safety Engineering and execution of QRAs/FERAs from the Energy sector. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating risk and safety studies, preparing safety documentation, and evaluating risk and risk-reducing measures.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-driven, and pro-active individual who is passionate about creating innovative solutions and contributing to setting the standard for safety within design solutions in the Green Energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leading and coordinating risk and safety studies to apply for permitting for projects in relevant locations.
  2. Preparing safety documentation during engineering of projects.
  3. Leading safety workshops on projects, including HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA workshops.
  4. Evaluating risk and risk-reducing measures according to the ALARP principle.
  5. Performing, leading, and coordinating work for quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA) using QRA software.
  6. Building capabilities and guidelines for dispersion modelling and fire/explosion modelling using commercial CFD-software.
  7. Providing process engineering support to Power-to-X and industrial decarbonisation projects.
Requirements:
  1. Engineering degree in Process/Chemical engineering.
  2. Relevant experience as Process or Process Safety Engineer from the Energy sector.
  3. Experience with safety documentation during engineering of projects.
  4. Experience with performing, leading, and coordinating work for quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA).
  5. Excellent English skills.
