Job Overview

Social Care Connections is a specialist recruitment agency dedicated to the Children and Young People sector within Social Care.

We are seeking an experienced Family Practitioner to join our team in South London.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience as a social worker and will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex, high-need cases within a child protection setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing complex cases, including court-involved work, to ensure child safety and long-term well-being.
  • Building trusting relationships with children and their families, and ensuring their views inform plans to improve their safety and outcomes.
  • Using Signs of Safety to assess risks, strengths, and needs, and creating plans that involve family and professional networks.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary range of £28 to £32 per hour based on experience.
  • A supportive and permanent team and manager.
  • Regular supervision and reflective practice opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience as a social worker.
  • Proven track record of working with vulnerable children and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
