Position Overview:

This position reports directly to the Principal Engineer. The primary objective is to deliver high-quality analysis with the necessary verification and validation, in addition to generating supporting technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Lead Structural Analysis Engineer will be accountable for providing superior analysis for assigned projects, utilizing specialized knowledge in both static and transient structural and thermal finite element analysis.
  • Formulate analysis methodologies and plans in collaboration with Project Engineers to fulfill client specifications.
  • Work closely with Design Engineers to devise solutions for design obstacles identified through conducted analyses.
  • Proactively manage the company's analytical tools with assistance from the IT Department, ensuring tools are current and investigating additional resources that could enhance analytical capabilities and the products offered by the company.
  • Facilitate and present internal Peer Reviews.
  • Develop analysis work packages for other Design Engineers.
  • Authorized to create or verify analysis deliverables.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • BSc or BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Apprenticeship with HNC.
  • Technical proficiency in static and transient finite element analysis.
  • Demonstrated history of verification and validation of analyses performed through methods such as empirical data, traditional hand calculations, material testing, etc.
  • A talent for problem-solving and innovation, along with a flexible approach to work tasks.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
