We are seeking an experienced Cancer Research Fundraiser to join our team in North Wales.

In this role, you will build relationships with businesses and communities to encourage people to fundraise for cancer research.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving forward world-class cancer research in Wales, working closely with fundraising, research, and retail colleagues.

This is a truly unique opportunity to work on a growing team, implementing a new strategy and making a real difference in the fight against cancer.

About the Role

You will be the face of the charity in North Wales, building relationships with community supporters and businesses through corporate partnerships.

This is a varied role with huge potential, offering opportunities to work with a wide range of individuals and organisations, including community fundraising volunteers and committees, Welsh business, schools, universities, clubs, and associations.

We would love to see you bringing some previous fundraising experience and ideas with you, to help get things off the ground.

About You

We are looking for someone who works successfully to targets and has a proven income generation track-record.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, allowing you to inspire and influence different audiences.

Evidence of relationship and rapport-building skills is also highly desirable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with community supporters and businesses.
  • Self-motivated and solutions-focused, with a positive mindset.
  • A team player who brings out the best in others.

The ability to speak Welsh is highly desirable but not essential. If you don't speak Welsh and would be open to learning, we would be happy to support you.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus generous benefits including 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays), a pension scheme, and a supportive working environment.
