Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students with their learning.
- Provide one-to-one support for students who need extra help, promoting academic and personal growth.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare learning materials and set up classroom activities, ensuring a stimulating and engaging atmosphere.
- Support students with special educational needs, providing tailored support and accommodations.
- Accompany students on school trips and other activities, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.
- Encourage students to engage and participate in class, promoting a love of learning and academic excellence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Education Support Professional or in a similar role is preferred.
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed, with a strong commitment to education and personal growth.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude, with a strong focus on student well-being and safety.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.
- A valid DBS check registered on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
