R&D Engineer - Product Development

TE Connectivity's R&D teams are responsible for conceiving original ideas for new products and introducing them into practice. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for product development and qualification from market definition through production and release. You will assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure they deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Define project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Outline budget based on requirements and track costs to deliver projects on-budget.
  • Manage delivery of the project according to this plan.
  • Track project and provide regular reports on project status to key stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Oversight of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety functions.
  • Contract Review / Emax ERP system updating.
  • Complaint investigations and corrective actions.
  • NPI Project lead including Legacy NPI lead.
Requirements
  • SolidWorks CAD experience (5+ years ideally).
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of various materials (metals, plastics, rubbers).
