We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse - Learning Disability Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with people with learning disabilities and make a real difference in their lives.


Job Summary


The successful candidate will provide clinical and operational supervision to junior colleagues within the team, developing intervention toolkits for nurses as well as holding a caseload including care coordination to ensure care teams or family carers are supported to implement care and treatment as recommended.


They will also contribute to service development, projects, and task groups, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote and advocate the health needs of adults with learning disabilities.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a compassionate and person-centered clinician who can carry out comprehensive, holistic assessments to a high standard.


You will need to be committed to coordinating across multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to promote and advocate the health needs of adults with learning disabilities.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A qualified and registered RNLD/RNMH qualification
  • Experience of working with people with a learning disability
  • Experience of working with a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency team
  • Must be a driver with access to a vehicle
  • Evidence of professional development
