Care Companion

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our Live-in Care team as a Care Companion. As a Care Companion, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Main Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Preparing and cooking meals, as well as assisting with feeding
• Prompting medication and ensuring safe administration
• Providing safe moving and handling support
• Conducting light household duties, such as cleaning and laundry
• Offering companionship and engaging in activities with clients
• Accompanying clients on outings and appointments
• Observing and reporting on client health and well-being

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year's experience in live-in care, domiciliary care, social care, or healthcare settings
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in verbal and written English
• Dedication and reliability, with a genuine desire to care for others
• Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to caring
• Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
• Good physical stamina and fitness to meet the demands of the role
• Willingness to seek guidance and follow instructions
