Vacancy Overview

We are looking for a Preventive Conservator for Analog Collections to join our Preservation Team at the Digital Preservation Coalition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing preservation programmes of work at all IWM sites related to the preservation of IWM's analogue archive collection.

This role requires strong knowledge of preservation techniques, including integrated pest management, environmental monitoring and control, and collections emergency planning and salvage.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • - Implement and deliver preservation programmes of work for IWM's analogue archive collection.
  • - Work closely with other teams to support the development of permanent and temporary exhibitions, digitalisation projects, and storage programmes of work.
  • - Ensure the long-term preservation and conservation of IWM's collections.
